Nicola Washington is based in London, UK, and became a Social Media Manager in 2017 after a twelve-year-long career as a secondary-school English teacher. She retrained, set up shop, and worked freelance with a range of small business clients, many of them female-founded, helping them get noticed online. At the start of 2023, Nicola combined her teaching skills and social media expertise, with her love of books and writing, to start supporting writers with their use of Instagram. She delivers talks, workshops, and a group programme, designed to show writers how to use Instagram effectively and sustainably to build their readership.
